Visitors-Mark Innocentes (not really a visitor cause he lives there and hes around most often)
So, I pick up this exhaust for my miata today, jeff has been dealing with these guys via text message all day. Supposed to meet @ 6 pm but they lagged till six and would refuse to give us a adress till they were @ the house. We were ready to give up and pass on this exhaust then they finally text.
Jeff and I rush over there to pick the exhaust up for a great deal and it was in pretty bad shape looked like 5+ years of caked on dust and a tarry black substance around the tip...which we later found out to be melted bumper =/
I go home and leave the exhaust with jeff and with a little bit of ashy elbow grease he completely restores the exhaust to its original shine

Full pic gigantic outlet with a nice resonator section
Before treatment
s/p complete overhall of the same area with snap on degreaser
Uninstall
I was not around for this portion but Jeff assures me that this towel was preventing the bumper from getting scratched
Catback is unhinged
OEM catalytic converter and one of those pesky hangars

@ this point the exhaust was completely stuck we had to jack the car up as high as we could then unbolt the H-Brace to allow 5mm of clearance needed to release the exhaust from its position
Install
Once install was complete we noticed the exhaust was about 1mm away from the bumper took it for a spin and it just completely burns the bumper (explaining the black marks on the tip)
We search through the garage in hopes of finding a material that would insulate the heat and not melt against the high temps of exhaust gas

Sometimes you need a hero, a muse, some sort of inspiration to get you through that rough patch when the cards dont fold in your favor. For us today it was M&M's, Jeff pulled these out of the refrigerator and feed this to us allowing us ample time to think clearly and increase our serum glucose providing energy to our brains!!

Final Thoughts

We go through all the hangars trying to find the key piece to to allow the 1 in lateral movement to the left we need to produce that centered look
The conversation went like this
Me:man i need a some sort of zip tie but like metal to mount this
Jeff:ohhh man i have a suprise for you!!!
He comes out witth this!!!
A box full of C clamps exactly what we need to give us that lateral movement to clear the exhaust
Final Thoughts
-Don't ever give up
-C-clamps provide lateral movement
-Exhaust + bumper=burns
-M&M's in refrigerator is the business

question... did you see how the car sounded like just cat only? if not... fail!!! if you did... i missed out.
